Sexed up

No, the heading isn't a mistake but I figured since the world is so sex consumed it would be a sure way to the get the attention of my readers today. I did an experiment in my page a couple years ago just to get a look inside the mind of people. On my facebook page I realized that when I wrote a poem or story centered around a strong sexual theme it received more attention. People had so much input and praised my writing skills. However, some of my best writings based on fellow writers are not those centered around sexual themes but in order for people to get a message it seems you have to associate it with sex.
I am not trying to deter people from reading romance novels or engaging in sexual discussions I'm just trying to show that a balance is important. Take for instance the fifty shades of grey movie that has stirred so much attention. Why isn't the same attention or even more shown towards the movie Selma that is about the snuggles of our black people? Majority of my Jamaican people probably have no either what I am even talking about because there minds are so sexed filled. I was listening to an advertisement for an event the other day and it invited women to wear the shortest shorts they can find to the event. The following day the same company was speaking about doing more in the communites to help keep our young girls safe. So on one hand you are inviting women to walk around in their shortest shorts and on the other hand you are speaking about the safety of our young girls. Wouldn't it help your message if you would promote a whole message than be encouraging oversexualization on one hand.

It really is a sad situation if in order to get people to buy something or listen to something it has to be about sex yet society is confused as to why our young people are engaging in sexual activities at such a young age. The picture linked to this article is what will get the attention of the readers many will come to look at this article perhaps to see if I am speaking about the young lady. Call me crazy but the world could go a day or two without being sold sex on every street corner but then again if people are buying why should the producers stop right?  We can't expect to produce future leaders who are knowledgable in areas of politics and economics when all they are eating and being fed is sex. What you put in is definitely what you will get out. What we are seeing now are just sex machines running up and down in our country and one day they will become overheated and just run dry because there is no substance within them. Today, I implore you to read something uplifting and inspirational rather than stuff your brain sells with nothing but sex.

TVJ Schools' Challenge Quiz Prizes

The buzzer ignited the excitement in my veins for many years. I grew up watching TVJ Schools' Challenge Quiz and I saw it as a means of once again unifying the nation through friendly rivalry. As the years rolled by things started to change and the blatant favouritism could be seen coming from our television screens. The power of some of the more prominent high schools would allow them to end up in the winning circle. Apart from the fun element turning into some what of a war each year, what has changed drastically is the awarding of the various prizes at the end. Throughout the years we could expect to see students from some of the participating schools coming forward to collect their various prizes at the end of the competition. We looked forward to hearing what the students would be awarded for their hard workout throughout the season. Apparently, this was deemed to be too much of a problem to broadcast so it was eliminated completely. All we see now is the winner collecti

This World

A world where people don't love you if you can't supply them with all the material things they need. A world where people marry just to get citizenship in a country. A world where the most educated aren't the ones given the best of jobs. A world where the television and internet are left to teach our children values. A world where the leaders of the church spend more money on church buildings tha n feeding the poor. A world where children receive guns before they receive a book to read. A world where in one half of the world people fight for an apple to eat while in the other we pick, choose and refuse what to eat. A world where we cry when we have no new clothes or shoes but some have never felt the warmth of a shirt and pants on their cold flesh. A world where politicians get increases in pay while the citizens are placed on wage freeze for years. A world where everybody proclaims they can't trust anybody. A world where girls value are always occupied with their look
