Many of us say that we are living life to the fullest and we are living with no regrets. However, at the end of the day when you have left school or work how accomplished do you feel? How alive do you feel sitting at work and doing whatever task your boss asks of you? How alive do you feel sitting in a classroom and learning about things that your teachers believe that you should learn about in order to become accomplished? At the end of the day many of us are simply just tired and we haven't even started to live as yet. Our heads are hung low because we carry the burden of all those people who are pushing us in so many directions. When are you getting married? Why aren't you driving as yet? When are you having children? Will those things make you feel alive? If not why go after them if you are only keeping up appearances? Many of us are living the perfect lives for others and are yet to live for ourselves. Don't die before you are dead.
The buzzer ignited the excitement in my veins for many years. I grew up watching TVJ Schools' Challenge Quiz and I saw it as a means of once again unifying the nation through friendly rivalry. As the years rolled by things started to change and the blatant favouritism could be seen coming from our television screens. The power of some of the more prominent high schools would allow them to end up in the winning circle. Apart from the fun element turning into some what of a war each year, what has changed drastically is the awarding of the various prizes at the end. Throughout the years we could expect to see students from some of the participating schools coming forward to collect their various prizes at the end of the competition. We looked forward to hearing what the students would be awarded for their hard workout throughout the season. Apparently, this was deemed to be too much of a problem to broadcast so it was eliminated completely. All we see now is the winner collecti
