Don't let my hair stress you!

Apparently, people are very preoccupied with hair these days. If you choose to relax your hair you are perceived to be ashamed of your black heritage and if you choose to keep your hair natural you are classified as being unprofessional, I've heard individuals speaking about how we don't like rules and we are turning away from how things were. Not because something was established in the olden days means it is still applicable today or holds any form of merit. In schools, children are being turned back simply because their hair is deemed unsuitable and that is simply a shame. When you send your children to school you send them to get an education and to grow as an individual but as parents you need to remember that schools will try to recondition what you have implemented at home. Closing the chapter on GSAT

The day of GSAT results can be a glorious day for some and a day of sorrow for others. Every year we see the smiles of the victorious and the tears of the disappointed. Many worked very hard and sacrificed a lot to ensure that they would be on the smiling side on this day. To the parents who ensured that they not only sent their children to school but they spent time with them to encourage them and help them with their studies I salute you. To the parents who just sent their children to school and expected the teachers to do it all and are now disappointed I encourage you to make changes as your child moves on to the next level. There might be sorrow now but joy can come in the morning. You can bloom anywhere you are planted, you just need to have the right attitude.
