Well well everyone making plans on boycotting Trinidad products well I for one am not interested in taking part in this 'new trend' think about it is it just recently that Jamaicans are seeing some sort of selfishness on the part of the Trinidadians? I'm not caught up in the hype and just because it's getting more focus now means I should join the line listen 13 days is just 13 days what happens after? Believe it or not people will continue to purchase the products. Why are Jamaicans not ready and willing to boycott American products? Some Jamaicans spend hundred of thousands of dollars to get a visa but then are rejected but they go out and complain and boycott all the favour products that Americans have in our country but then again would we even have anything left? We have strength for Trinidad however to plan this so called boycott. Listen to me Jamaica has far more problems than this boycott right now why don't we use the type to think about why countries are fighting us out and don't be quick to say they bad mind us because really truly what is it that we own these days that other nations should be envious of? As Jamaicans it used to be our natural resources our beaches our war, friendly people but recent events such as international doctors coming here and being robbed and our beaches being stolen, yes being stolen leaves me to wonder what are other countries really envious of? It all about education how many local made products do parents give their child each day?? For years we have been hearing that we should support our local brands but people haven't joined that line to do so but they are quick to join the boycott line right??? Come on Jamaica we need to go on focus on growing more of what we need and we don't need to have any boycott to let us know that this is the way we should go.
The buzzer ignited the excitement in my veins for many years. I grew up watching TVJ Schools' Challenge Quiz and I saw it as a means of once again unifying the nation through friendly rivalry. As the years rolled by things started to change and the blatant favouritism could be seen coming from our television screens. The power of some of the more prominent high schools would allow them to end up in the winning circle. Apart from the fun element turning into some what of a war each year, what has changed drastically is the awarding of the various prizes at the end. Throughout the years we could expect to see students from some of the participating schools coming forward to collect their various prizes at the end of the competition. We looked forward to hearing what the students would be awarded for their hard workout throughout the season. Apparently, this was deemed to be too much of a problem to broadcast so it was eliminated completely. All we see now is the winner collecti
