Hey everyone been away for a couple of days but I 'm back!!!
This morning I was watching Smile Jamaica on Television Jamaica (TVJ) as I always so however this morning the leader of the opposition Andrew Holness was was on and on this occasion I saw a calm and collective side to him, in his natural habitat away from the jungle of the parliamentary discussions and there was an absence of the blame game. There is rarely a day that goes by that we aren't face with the usual arguments between the two major political parties that head our country when this usual battle is missing it is viewed as a good day. The blame game has become even more present these days due to the infamous term IMF in our country now its on the lips of majority of Jamaican's.
I find it so upsetting because when the JLP first got into the IMF dealings the PNP was in strong opposition, when the JLP wanted to borrow funds from the NHT the PNP again was in strong opposition yet still they are now all for heading into these directions. Confused or too talkative?? so much so that they will talk themselves into a dark corner. "If the head is shaky the body will together" this sums up the Prime Ministers current position she is simply just barely standing, shaking in the wind. I'm also baffled by the fact that when sporting events are coming up the money is always so forth coming and overflowing but the Student Loan Bureau can't find money from here there or anywhere. Priorities, priorities our country doesn't understand priorities. When students fail in school the teachers are always the first to be blamed then why should we hesitate to blame the leader of our country when our country is failing? Why continue to fight so hard to gain the leadership then do nothing wit h the opportunity given. Is it just about the power and just the glory of saying I won because that's how it is coming across to the citizens of Jamaica.
I believe until the leaders of our country start acting like leaders and take their responsibilities seriously the body our country will fall together because of a shaky head. The country indeed has faced many problems before our current leader was given the opportunity to make a change but effort goes a far way rather than the mere words and words and rumblings and blame game that she continues to echo from her mouth.
